Welcome to our school!

Everyone involved in the running of Long Toft welcomes you to the school website. We are a very dedicated and hardworking team, ensuring that your children work to their full potential and enjoy attending school. We hope you find the website interesting and informative.
 

When you call our school you will speak to our lovely ladies in the office, either Miss. Gorman, Mrs. Hall, Mrs. Wilkinson or Mrs. Addison. From there if you would like to speak to our head teacher, please ask for Mrs. Wainman. If you would like to speak to our deputy head teacher please ask for Mr. Howlett. If you would like to speak to our SENCo please ask for Mrs. Harte. Otherwise please explain the reason for your call and you will be directed to the correct person. 

Should you require any paper copies of any of the documents on our website, please email admin@longtoftschool.co.uk in order to make the request.

Local Support for Children's Mental Health

Supporting Young Minds in Doncaster

Trainee Child Wellbeing Practitioners are there to help children and young people age 5-18 with mild to moderate mental health challenges like anxiety, low mood and worry. They offer friendly, evidence-based support in schools and community settings - including self-help, CBT techniques and parent-led sessions for under 11's.

Nursery Gross Motor Fun with Flags

Nursery Gross Motor Fun with Flags

Our nursery children had a wonderful time waving colorful flags this morning to strengthen their gross motor skills.

Through this fun activity, they practiced coordination, balance, and large muscle movements — all while enjoying bright colors and playful motion!

With Me in Mind Parent Meeting - Children's Mental Health Support Team

With Me in Mind Parent Meeting - Children's Mental Health Support Team

We’d love for our parents/carers to join us on Monday 10 November at 2:15pm for a meeting with the With Me in Mind team.

With Me in Mind is a mental health support team working across Doncaster, Rotherham and North Lincolnshire. They support children and young people aged 5 to 19 with their mental health and emotional wellbeing.

At the meeting, the team will talk about the different ways they can help both in school and at home. This includes:

  • Support for mild to moderate mental health needs
  • Advice and signposting to other helpful services
  • Tips for how parents, carers and school staff can support young people
  • Group sessions, assemblies and workshops on wellbeing

It’s a great chance to find out more about what’s available and ask any questions you might have.

SEN Friends at Armthorpe Family Hub starting in November! 

Their sessions are specifically designed for SEND children ages 0-8 years and give parents and carers a chance to connect while children play freely in a supportive environment.
